Zynadent Mouthwash & Gargle – Lemongrass flavour

There are in essence two types of mouthwashes:

– Breath Fresheners, which act merely as a breath freshener; and
– Antiseptic / Antibacterial Mouthwashes, which eradicate plaque and other oral bacteria (plaque, which causes dental caries is in effect bacteria). Some of the breath fresheners claim that they have antibacterial properties, but in practice that effect is very limited.
The dilemma with the current Antiseptic / Antibacterial products are fourfold:

• Prohibitively expensive for everyday use
• Horrendously tasting (consumer compliance is therefore a major issue)
• Cannot be used for every day oral / dental care on account of the side effects that occur when used regularly
• Most other antiseptic mouthwashes contain alcohol

The use in practice for the current Antiseptic / Antibacterial Mouthwashes is therefore reserved for very specific indications and for very short periods only, e.g. post operatively and in instances of mouth / gum infections.

Zynadent Mouthwash was developed by a Medical Doctor and Pharmacologist (who holds a B.Sc, Honor’s and Master’s degrees in Pharmacology) to fill that void in the market; i.e.

• An effective mouthwash which can be used daily on a continuous basis in order to achieve optimal oral hygiene and dental care
• Pleasant tasting
• Affordable.

INDICATIONS

Preventative: For routine daily oral care to help to achieve oral hygiene, prevent or eradicate plaque and to prevent dental decay.

Curative: To help in the treatment of infections and inflammation of the mouth and throat, painful and sensitive gums and in post-operative oral and dental surgery.

For mouth sores and ulcers

For smokers – apart from improved oral hygiene Zynadent diminishes/abolishes “smoker’s breath” and helps to remove nicotine stains.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE

1. Shake bottle before use.

2. Adults & Children older than 6 years. Rinse mouth thoroughly with ± 25ml Zynadent for 60 – 90 seconds.

3. Discard (spit out) and rinse then with a small amount of water.

4. For routine oral care to prevent dental decay and for orthodontics:  Rinse 2 – 4 times per day

5. For infections of the mouth & throat, painful & sensitive gums and post-oral surgery: Rinse 4 – 6 times per day.

COMPOSITION

Zynadent Mouthwash comprises of six active ingredients which all contribute to the efficacy thereof:

* Pelargonium Sidoides Extract
* Clove Oil Extract
* Lemongrass Oil Extract
* Colloidal Silver
* Hydrogen Peroxide (Medical Grade) 2.5%
* Xylitol

EFFICACY

There are numerous documented clinical trials conducted on the active ingredients which have demonstrated their efficacy in eradicating cariogenic organisms (bacteria causing dental caries) – See Link “Clinical Studies”.  The synergistic effect of the combination of the six active ingredients (which all work on different mechanisms) enhances the efficacy of Zynadent.
